A BJP chief who had described Bilkis Bano’s rapists as “Sanskari Brahmins” is on the listing of the celebration’s candidates for subsequent month’s Gujarat election.
Chandrasinh Raulji, a former Gujarat minister, is the BJP candidate from Godhra. He’s a six-time Godhra MLA.
Chandrasinh Raulji shifted from the Congress to the BJP in August 2017, forward of the final Gujarat election.
He was a part of the Gujarat authorities committee that unanimously determined to launch the 11 males responsible of raping Bilkis Bano and killing 9 members of her household, together with her three-year-old daughter.
“They have been Brahmins and Brahmins are recognized to have good sanskaar. It may need been somebody’s in poor health intention to nook and punish them,” Mr Raulji was heard telling a reporter from Mojo Story in an interview that was circulated on social media.
He additionally stated the convicts had good conduct whereas in jail.
The rapists have been freed on August 15 Independence Day and welcomed with flowers and sweets by a rightwing group.
