On this workshop, contributors will use basketry methods to weave with invasive plant species and different pure supplies. The workshop will situate weaving in a communal setting as an embodied apply that considers our connections and obligations to land and setting. Throughout the workshop we are going to discover how these practices might be a part of reconsidering and decoding ancestral abilities within the present second. Estraven Lupino-Smith is a queer and non-binary trans artist, researcher, and educator born in Dish with One Spoon territory to an Italian and Scottish household.
