Los Angeles: Third suspect arrested in deadly capturing of off-duty Monterey Park Police Officer Gardiel Solorio

A 3rd suspect has been arrested in reference to the deadly capturing of an off-duty Southern California police officer, authorities mentioned Friday. 

Gerardo Magallanes, 18, of San Pedro, was arrested Thursday night, days after Monterey Park Police Officer Gardiel Solorio, 26, of Bell Gardens, was fatally shot in a parking zone of an LA Health health club in Downey, California, the Downey Police Division mentioned.

Magallanes’ position within the capturing will not be recognized.

Earlier this week, authorities arrested Carlos Daniel Delcid, 20, and a 17-year-old suspect, police mentioned.

Solorio joined the Monterey Park Police Division in January, after graduating from the county sheriff’s academy on July 22. He began subject coaching on July 25.
