BUENOS AIRES — One man was detained Thursday evening after he reportedly aimed a handgun at point-blank vary towards Argentine Vice President Cristina Fernández.
Video from the scene broadcast on native tv channels reveals Fernández exiting her automobile surrounded by supporters outdoors her residence when a person could be seen extending his hand with what seems like a pistol and the vp geese.
The supporters surrounding the particular person seem shocked at what is occurring amid the commotion within the Recoleta neighborhood of Argentina’s capital.
“An individual who was recognized by those that had been near him who had a gun was detained by (the vp’s) safety personnel. They set him apart, discovered the weapon, and now it have to be analyzed,” Safety Minister Aníbal Fernández advised native cable information channel C5N.
