Meet Maxwell Frost, the primary Gen Z member elected to Congress


At age 25, Democrat Maxwell Frost made historical past Tuesday evening when he grew to become the first member of Gen Z to be elected to US Congress.

Frost, a social justice advocate, received his election bid towards Republican Military veteran Calvin Wimbish to characterize The Sunshine State’s tenth Congressional District in Central Florida which incorporates College of Central Florida, Winter Park and Orlando.

Operating in a district usually received by his social gathering, Frost was favored to win the Orlando-based seat.

“Historical past was made tonight,” the progressive activist posted on Instagram Tuesday. “We made historical past for Floridians, for Gen Z, and for everybody who believes we deserve a greater future. I’m past grateful for the chance to characterize my dwelling in the USA Congress.”

The younger African-American’s victory marks an important second for the progressive activist who got here of voting age over the previous decade recognized for voicing their political stance on points together with gun violence and LGBTQ rights.
