Greater than forty places throughout Tamil Nadu had been searched by the Revenue Tax Division right now over suspected tax evasion by some Tamil movie producers and distributors, officers have mentioned.
The raids are being carried out on the properties linked to about 10 Tamil movie producers and distributors, together with Kalaipuli Thanu, SR Prabhu, Anbu Chezhiyan and Gnanavel Raja, officers added.
The officers began the search and seizure operation at round 6 am.
