Florida’s Republican incumbent Marco Rubio has been reelected to the U.S. Senate, beating his Democratic opponent in a key battleground state.
Rubio maintained a gentle lead in opposition to the Democratic candidate, Rep. Val Demings, within the weeks main as much as election night time. Demings had hoped to oust Rubio and enhance the Democrats’ majority within the Senate.

Throughout the debate Rubio accused the Biden administration of releasing oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to attempt to win votes.
