Authorities on the College of Virginia issued a faculty lockdown late Sunday after stories of a capturing close to a parking storage on campus.
In keeping with the UVA Police Division, a capturing was reported at Culbreth Street in Charlottesville. A suspect was at giant and thought of armed and harmful, police later tweeted.
The UVA Police Division tweeted that it was in search of Christopher Darnell Jones relating to the capturing and suggested the general public to name 911 in the event that they see him and to not strategy him.
A number of police companies have been trying to find the suspect, who could also be driving a black SUV, police mentioned.
It is unclear if there have been any fatalities or accidents.
“There was a capturing on Culbreth Street and the suspect is at giant and thought of armed and harmful,” College of Virginia president Jim Ryan mentioned on Twitter.
